About me
Hi, I’m Vic! I am passionate dog groomer based in Lightwater. Having recently completed a level 3 diploma, I offer a calm, 1-to-1 grooming experience from my luxury garden salon, designed to be a peaceful and comfortable space for your dog.
I know grooming can sometimes be stressful for pets, so I work hard to create a relaxed, happy vibe during every session. Whether it’s a fresh trim, a playful makeover, or just a good scrub, I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own.
Why groom?
There are several benefits coming from regular grooming. For example, keeping the nails trimmed will help reinforce healthy foot structure and posture, and proper brushing and combing will maintain a healthy coat and skin. Regular visits may result in early detection of issues with ears, skin, teeth and more, and your pet will look, smell and feel wonderful. It is also a great way to create a strong bond with your dog at home: teach them from early days that a brush can be fun, and you’ll have a happy dog with a marvellous coat!
Advice
The right grooming routine for your dog will vary depending on their breed, coat, and everyday lifestyle. Breeds with longer or curlier coats, like Cockapoos, Shih Tzus, and Spaniels, usually need professional grooming every 4–6 weeks to avoid tangles and keep their coat in top condition. Short-haired dogs don’t need visits as often, but they still benefit from regular brushing, nail care, and the occasional bath to support healthy skin and fur. At Bark and Blossom, we are always happy to help you find the best grooming schedule for your dog, so they stay comfortable, tidy, and looking their best between appointments.
